Virginia man scores $300,000 lottery jackpot three years after $125,000 win

Raymond Harrington of Virginia Beach has defied the odds by winning six-figure prizes from the Virginia Lottery twice.

In 2020, he won $125,000 from the Pick 4 game, and now he has won the top prize from the Diamond Bonus Crossword game. Harrington purchased the winning ticket from the Rite Aid located at 525 West 21st Street in Norfolk.

When Harrington scratched his Diamond Bonus Crossword ticket, he initially thought he had won around $200.

However, he was surprised to learn that he had won the game's top prize of $300,000. He is the first person to beat the odds of one in 979,200 and win the game's top prize. The Virginia Lottery reports that two other top prizes remain unclaimed.

Harrington plans to invest his winnings from the Diamond Bonus Crossword game. He claimed his prize at the Virginia Lottery's Customer Service Center and expressed his excitement about winning a six-figure prize for the second time.
