Two Powerball Tickets Worth $50k Each Sold in Staten Island and Newburgh

Powerball third-prize ticket worth $50,000 sold in NYC

Powerball players in Staten Island and Newburgh had reason to celebrate on Saturday when two third-prize winning tickets were sold for the drawing, each worth $50,000.

The winning tickets matched four numbers and the Powerball, with the winning numbers being 24, 26, 39, 47 and 57 with a Powerball of 23.

The lucky tickets were sold at KP Deli Corp. on Hylan Boulevard in Staten Island and Smokes For Less on Plank Road in Newburgh. The winners have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize, which can be securely checked on the New York Lottery app. 

The Powerball drawing takes place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 11 p.m., with the winning numbers drawn from fields of one to 69 and one to 26 for the Powerball number.
