Two $1 Million New Year’s Raffle Tickets Sold in Stafford and Spotsylvania Counties

Two $1 million Virginia New Year’s Millionaire Raffle tickets were snagged locally in Stafford and Spotsylvania counties on January 1, 2024.

One lucky winner purchased their ticket at the Wawa near the Chancellor shopping center along State Route 3.

Meanwhile, the second ticket yielding the $1 million prize was sold at a pub in Stafford.

The Virginia Lottery identified the Stafford winner as Michael Brosnan, who expressed his surprise and excitement, saying, “I almost fell to the ground. It was amazing.”

Brosnan purchased the winning ticket from Paddy’s 32 Steakhouse & Pub located on Center Street, an area housing several businesses, including an Urgent Care facility adjacent to the pub.
