The Gopher 5 lottery ticket sold out in north metron wins a big jackpot
A couple of lucky lottery players are having a very good start to the new month.
The Minnesota Lottery said one ticket matched the winning numbers for Friday's Gopher 5 drawing, a jackpot worth $346,868. The winning numbers drawn on Friday were 1, 7, 14, 27 and 36. The ticket was sold at a Speedway in Hugo.
The retailer also wins, receiving a bonus equal to 1% of the jackpot. In addition to the big Gopher 5 win, a Powerball ticket sold in Albert Lea won $50,000 in Saturday's drawing.
Those winning numbers were 23, 29, 32, 49, 61 and the Powerball number was 8. Lottery winners of jackpots greater than $50,000 must claim their winnings in person at Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville.
Winners have one year to claim their prizes. Winners of jackpots greater than $10,000 can choose to keep their names private.
