Texas Lottery awards a $3 million top prize to a scratch-off player from the region

An area resident from Spring is kicking off the week with a $3 million prize after purchasing a 500X Loteria Spectacular scratch-off lottery ticket in Houston.

While the winner elected to remain anonymous, the lucky individual purchased the $50 scratch-off lottery ticket at B&B News & More, located at 5085 Westheimer Rd., according to the Texas Lottery Commission.

The local winner was the third of four top prizes worth $3 million to be claimed in this game.

The big winner in Spring follows two other Texas lottery winners this week, with a Fort Stockton resident who claimed a $3 million win on Monday from the Colossal Cashword Texas Lottery scratch-off game and a Floydada resident near Lubbock who won $1 million on the Million Dollar Loteria.
