St. Helens Residents Strike Gold in People's Postcode Lottery

Residents of St. Helens in Merseyside have hit the jackpot in the People's Postcode Lottery, with 897 people sharing a £3m prize pot in the September 2019 Postcode Millions draw.

The biggest winners were eight lucky players in the Rainford postcode sector of WA11 7LP, who won between £166,666 and £333,332 each.

Pat, one of the lucky winners who played with two tickets and won the biggest prize, plans to use her winnings to support charities close to her heart, including the Veterans of the Saints Community Development Foundation and Francis House Children's Hospice. 

Gemma, an NHS healthcare assistant, can finally move out and get her own place with her winnings, while retired supermarket worker Cynthia is still in disbelief at her £166,666 win.

Other winners in the WA11 7 sector received cheques ranging from £1,525 to £9,150, depending on the number of winning tickets they held. This marks the third time that the St. Helens area has won the £3m prize pot, with other lucky neighbours in WA9 5 and WA10 6 taking home the same prize in previous draws.
