"I've been playing the lottery since I turned 18," he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his windfall.

The self-employed man decided to buy some tickets while getting gas.

"When the machine made noises, I instantly knew I won. I think I was shaking for 20 minutes before I came to my senses," he said.

"My smile was so big – I've never been happier!" "I called my wife while at the store, and she was beyond excited.

This couldn't have happened at a better time." Bert plans to rebuild his home with his win.

"It’s a fabulous feeling.

I won the lottery!" Bert concluded.
