Someone in Detroit has won $1 million lottery jackpot, the winner first didn't realized that he has won such a big jackpot.
A Detroit man was thrilled to win $1,000 playing the Michigan Lottery’s, but he was even more shocked when he learned he’d actually brought home a $1 million prize.
A 25-year-old winner said that “I scratched my Triple Million ticket and thought I’d won $1,000. I took the ticket back to the store I’d bought it at and had them check it. When the cashier told me it was a $1 million winner, I just stared in shock at my friend who was with me. I don’t have the words to describe the feeling that came over me!”
The man bought his ticket at the Corner Liquor Shoppe, located at 334 West Kennett Road in Pontiac.
He opted for the option of one time lump sum and took home $690,000 after all taxes.
With his winnings, he plans on buying a house.
