Simcoe couple won $1 million worth jackpot in Lotto 6/49, the winner will soon be $1 million times richer than before.

The couple bought the winning lottery ticket at BJ’s Convenience on West Street in Simcoe.

Heather Mcghie and James Smith, both at the age of 64 won $1 million with playing lotto 6/49.

“I checked the ticket on the OLG App and thought it was a joke,” she recalled. “I had to ask James how many zeroes were there.

The wife was unable to believe what she was seeing, therefore she called her husband and asked him to see wheather they have really won the jackpot. 

The couple said they plan to use the money to pay some bills and will also be using their winnings to help their family.
