Second $5 Million Lotto Win Strikes Greater Victoria

In a stroke of luck, Greater Victoria celebrates another $5-million lottery win, marking the second such win in as many months in the region.

The B.C. Lottery Corporation disclosed that Victoria served as the fortunate location for the winning ticket in the recent Saturday Lotto 6/49 draw, matching all six numbers. However, the winner has yet to step forward and claim the prize.

This win echoes the earlier success of Heather Andrews from Sidney, who secured a $5-million prize on October 21.

Heather purchased her winning ticket at the Pharmasave in Sidney and opted to share the windfall with her sister, Gwen Leeder from Stittsville, Ont.

The year 2023 has proven fruitful for B.C. lottery players, with over $105 million in winnings already claimed from Lotto 6/49.

The region continues to buzz with anticipation, awaiting the reveal of the latest lucky winner to join the ranks of fortunate lottery recipients.
