Saskatchewan Woman Finds $200,000 Lottery Ticket in Wallet Months After Purchase

Karleigh Warkentin, a woman from Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan, recently discovered that she had won $200,000 in the Nov. 1, 2022, Lotto Max draw.

She had purchased the ticket but had unknowingly tucked it away in her wallet for several months.

Warkentin eventually stumbled upon the ticket and scanned it at a self-checker in a store.

After seeing that she had won a free play prize, she scanned it again and realized that she had won the grand prize of $200,000.

According to a news release from Sask. Lotteries, she scanned the ticket five times before the amount truly sunk in.

Upon receiving the exciting news, Warkentin revealed that she plans to use the money to pay off some debts and possibly invest in a cabin.
