A lucky San Antonio resident has won $1 million from a Powerball ticket purchased at a Circle K convenience store located at 3411 Thousand Oaks Drive.
The Texas Lottery Commission announced that the winning ticket matched all five numbers drawn in the March 4 Powerball drawing: 10-16-18-40-66.
The winner chose to remain anonymous. The Powerball grand prize starts at $20 million and increases until the jackpot is won.
Powerball is a multi-state lottery game played in 45 states in the United States, as well as in Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Players select five white numbers from 1 to 69 and one red Powerball number from 1 to 26. The drawings take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The jackpot starts at $20 million and increases each time there is no winner.
