As of the Powerball website, the jackpot was estimated at $195 million, with a cash option of $123.4 million. The jackpot is now up for grabs each week on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
An individual from Connecticut won the Powerball jackpot back in February, winning $185.3 million. The Mega Millions jackpot currently stands at $60 million with a cash option of $37.9 million, according to the Mega Millions website.
Till date, the winners of the lottery were required to reveal their identity, but as per the new law 'signed by Gov. Phil Murphy' lottery winners in New Jersey can now stay anonymous.
