Persistence Pays Off for Ontario Truck Driver with $100,000 Lottery Win

After decades of trying his luck, a long-time lottery player from Bowmanville, Ontario, Bill Komazic, has won $100,014 in the Lotto 6/49 draw held on March 25.
Komazic, who is a truck driver, purchased his winning ticket from Waverley Variety on Waverly Road in Bowmanville.
He was totally shocked and very happy when he checked the ticket on the ticket checker and saw $100,000.
In addition to the six-figure Super Draw prize, he also won $10 on his Lotto 6/49 selection and $4 on Encore. Komazic plans to use his winnings to pay off some bills and his mortgage, as well as to enjoy worry-free bike rides on his brand-new motorcycle.
He shared that his family was initially disbelieving when he told them about his win, but they were overjoyed once they realized he wasn't joking.
The Lotto 6/49 draw takes place every Wednesday and Saturday. During the recent April 15 draw, a lucky winner in Eastern Canada won a life-changing prize after the jackpot had grown to a massive $64 million.
