One lucky winner is $27m richer after Lotto's Powerball jackpot struck

The $27 million jackpot was won by one person, who also took home $333,333 for claiming the Division one prize.

On Saturday night's Powerball drawing, one lucky player walked away with $27 million after matching all six numbers plus the Power Play.

 

It was 9, 8, 3, 36, 28 and 2 with the bonus ball and 10 as the crucial Powerball number that won.

 

 

 

One lucky player scooped the $27 million jackpot and walked away with $333,333 in addition to the Division One reward.

 

 

 

The winner of the second Powerball division pocketed $54,741 in prize money.

 

Three individuals won Division 1 Lotto without the Powerball, and the winnings didn't end there.

 

 

 

Martina Four Square and Lotto in Thames sold the winning Powerball ticket, and the $27 million from Powerball First Division and $333,333 from Lotto First Division were split between the winner and seller.

 

 

 

As far as Lotto knew, this was the fourth biggest Powerball jackpot ever.

 

 

 

Lotto First Division winners from Orewa and Porirua will also be rejoicing tonight after each taking home $333,333.

 

 

 

Grand Superette in Orewa and Morere Four Square in Porirua sold the winning Lotto tickets.

 

 

 

To put it another way: Tonight, a Player in Strike Four earned $600,000 playing Strike Four.

 

 

 

Throughout Auckland, the winning Strike ticket could be found at Chartwell Food Centre and Lotto.
