North Quincy’s resident won $1 million Powerball lottery prize, the winner will soon be $1 million times richer than before.
Richard Lavery purchased the Quick Pick lottery ticket for the grand lottery prize of $2.04 billion but instead ended up winning $1 million lottery.
He bought his winning Quic Pic ticket at West Squantum Market & Liquors at 1205 West Squantum St. in Quincy and cashed it in at the lottery’s Dorchester headquarters Thursday.
The player was not at all disappointed for not winning the grand $2.04 billion lottery, but he was happy that he got to be the winner of $1 million lottery.
Lavery has yet not decided anything, but he says that he will soon figure out what he will do with the winning lottery ticket.
There were nine other lotteris of $50,000 in Tuesday’s drawing by matching four out of five numbers and the Powerball.
