North Carolina Convenience Store Sells $1.1 Million Winning Lottery Ticket

One lucky North Carolina player hits the jackpot on Saturday morning after purchasing a 100X The Cash ticket for $20 at Handy House No. 2 on U.S. 70 in Smyrna.

The ticket turned out to be the largest-ever jackpot winner in the N.C. lottery's Fast Play games, with a prize of $1.1 million.

At the time of purchase, the jackpot was worth $920,665, but the winner will receive all of that amount plus an additional $200,000 cash since the ticket cost $20.

The winner has six months to claim their prize at lottery headquarters in Raleigh.
