The first winning ticket worth $16,356.50 was purchased at Paras Newsstand, located at 302 W 34th St., in Manhattan. The second winning ticket, worth the same amount, was sold at Fms Discount Stop located at 825 Route 110 in Melville, Long Island. Melville is about 40 miles east of Manhattan.

The winning numbers for the evening drawing were 16, 19, 20, 26 and 30. Take 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39.

To win the Take 5 jackpot, match the five numbers on your ticket to the winning five-number combination drawn. It costs $1 per game to play.

The drawing is broadcast on television twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Take 5 players with midday and evening draws on the same ticket must check their numbers at nylottery.ny.gov to determine if they have the winning numbers for the corresponding midday or evening drawing.

The odds of winning the Take 5 jackpot: One in 575,757. Players can securely check their tickets on the New York Lottery app.

The New York Lottery continues to be touted as North America’s largest and most profitable lottery, contributing $3.8 billion in lottery aid to education for fiscal year 2023-2024 to help support education in New York state.

New York Lottery revenue is distributed to local school districts by the same statutory formula used to distribute other state aid to education.

It takes into account both a school district’s size and its income level; larger, lower-income school districts receive proportionately larger shares of lottery school funding.
