New Carrollton father wins $5 million Maryland Lottery scratch-off prize

A man from New Carrollton, Maryland won the top prize of $5 million in the Maryland Lottery's $50 scratch-off game.
The 50th-anniversary edition of the Maryland Lottery's scratch-off game, "50 Years!," features a $5 million top prize and was launched on February 20th.
It quickly became the hottest-selling scratch-off game in the state, with three top prizes available.
"Happy Dad" claimed his prize on March 13th at the Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.
He said he was "very surprised" when he realized he had won.
He is a passionate scratch-off player and was excited to try the anniversary game.
