A Missouri woman's lottery journey took an unexpected turn when she decided to reinvest her $20 winnings from a previous ticket.

Purchasing a $5 Emerald 8s Scratchers ticket at a Kirkwood convenience store, she didn't anticipate the incredible surprise that awaited her at home.

As she scratched the ticket, her initial disbelief turned into amazement. The numbers revealed an astonishing win of $88,888. In disbelief, she even put on her reading glasses to ensure she was seeing it correctly.
