In a stunning turn of events, a Missouri Lottery player discovered he won a $1.3 million jackpot and was so overcome with shock that he headed straight to church to share the news with his wife.

The fortunate winner purchased the ticket at QuikTrip, 2791 Dunn Road in St. Louis, and when he saw the winning numbers - 3, 9, 10, 20, 34, and 41 - he was left in disbelief.

“I looked at it, and I was shocked,” he expressed. Deciding to surprise his wife at church, he revealed the good news, stating, “Well, we’ve got a little bit of retirement money.” The couple's unexpected windfall comes from matching all six Lotto numbers drawn on Aug. 26.

Lotto, an in-state draw game in Missouri, holds drawings every Wednesday and Saturday evening at 8:59 p.m. The upcoming Saturday's Lotto jackpot is estimated at $3.9 million. Winning the Lotto jackpot requires matching all six numbers, with odds of 3,529,526, translating to a 0.0028% chance of winning.
