Middletown woman wins $30,000 jackpot in scratch off lottery game

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A Middletown woman won $30,000 playing the CT Lottery. Rose Lapadula won playing 30X Cash 9th Edition.
She purchased the lucky ticket Thursday at Hnz Petro Plus in Middletown.
The CT Lottery furnishes winner information as public record.
There are a total of more than 1 million 30X Cash 9th Edition tickets. The player's overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.53, according to CT Lottery.
Bronson's aunt, Chris Roberts, who joined her at the news conference for moral support, said it was about a week later when Bronson told her about the ticket.
"I misunderstood at first and thought she said $3,000," Roberts said.
Bronson is the 100th New Yorker to claim a lottery prize of $1 million or more this year.
