Mega Millions lottery ticket worth $10,000 sold in Boone

A winning Mega Millions lottery ticket worth $10,000 was sold in Boone for the Saturday’s drawing.
The winning ticket was sold at the Quality Mart on Robinhood Road in Winston-Salem. The ticket distributor will get a bonus of $1000 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket.
Mega Millions is an American multi-jurisdictional lottery game and it is offered in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Mega Millions is drawn at 11 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday and Friday evenings, including holidays.
Each game costs $2. Of the 47 Mega Millions jurisdictions, all but California offer an option, called Megaplier (plays with the Megaplier are $3 each) where non-jackpot prizes are multiplied by 2, 3, 4, or 5.
