Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s lottery drawing climbs upto $65 M

The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s lottery drawing has climbed to an estimated $65 million, with a cash option valued at $37.9 million.

The winning numbers were: 23, 24, 50, 54 and 64. The Mega Ball drawn was 3 with a Megaplier of 3x.

While no one across the country hit Tuesday’s $52 million jackpot, three-second-prize, $1 million tickets were sold. The tickets were sold in New York, Georgia and Virginia. Each matched five numbers but not the Mega Ball.

In New Jersey, two $10,000 tickets were bought, each of which matched four numbers plus the Mega Ball.

The third-prize tickets were purchased at Quick Food Mart on Erial Road in Pine Hill and Express Food Mart LLC on Route 27 in the Somerset section of Franklin Township.

Tuesday’s winning numbers were: 1, 8, 10, 25 and 32. The Mega Ball drawn was 13 with a Megaplier of 3x.

The Mega Millions jackpot has slowly climbed since a $1.337 billion ticket was sold in Des Plaines, Illinois for the July 29 drawing. That prize is the third largest in U.S. lottery history.

The odds of a $2 ticket matching all the winning numbers are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million.

Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
