Lucky Massachusetts lottery player wins $4 million recently

The first $4-million grand prize winner of the lottery scratch ticket “Emeralds 50x” has been revealed as Emily Bartlett.

Bartlett, of Lynnfield, chose the cash option as her prize and took the one-time payment of $2,600,000 before taxes. Bartlett plans on using some of her winnings to buy a house.

The winning ticket was purchased at Centre Market on 588 Main St. in Lynnfield.

The store will receive a $40,000 bonus for selling the ticket. The largest lottery prize won in Massachusetts this year was worth $16.35 million, which was part of the game Megabucks Doubler.

It was purchased at Cumberland Farms in Ware. There have been three $15 million prizes won in the state this year.
