Maryland Worker Turns $50 into $1 Million with Lucky Lottery Ticket Purchase

A 47-year-old construction worker from Maryland had a stroke of incredible luck after using the winnings from one lottery ticket to purchase another.

The man, hailing from the Eastern Shore, stopped to cash in a $50 winning scratch-off ticket during his commute to work.

He decided to invest that $50 into buying two $20 scratch-offs and one $10 ticket at a Safeway in Pasadena.

To his amazement, one of those tickets turned out to be a $1 million winner, and he only discovered it while taking a break to get gas.

The first two tickets didn't yield any significant wins, so the unexpected fortune came as a huge surprise.

The man shared the exciting news with his girlfriend, and after ensuring the ticket's safety at home, he claimed the prize on October 26.
