Maryland Man Wins $50,000 Again — 11 Years After His First Big Lottery Win
Talk about a lucky streak! A Fort Washington, Maryland, man has won $50,000 from a scratch-off ticket for the second time—11 years after his first big payday.
The man recently picked up a $5 Multiply Your Money scratch-off at Brother Liquors on Old Fort Road. He scratched the ticket right there in the store and was shocked to see a $50,000 prize.
“Yeah, I was surprised. And the guy in the store was surprised he sold me one that big,” he told Maryland Lottery officials.
His first $50,000 win came in July 2015, when he hit the prize on a Diamonds and Dollars scratch-off.
He put some of that earlier money toward a new car, while the rest stayed safely in his bank account. This time, he plans to use the winnings to:

- 👨👩👧 Support a family member
- 💰 Put the remaining money into his savings
