Maryland Lottery: Three Players Win $100,000 Each as Powerball Hits $793 Million
Three Maryland Lottery players are celebrating $100,000 wins each after hitting big prizes on scratch-off tickets last week. Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $793 million ahead of Monday's drawing.
According to the Maryland Lottery, the three winning tickets were purchased at:
- RC Checks Cashed: 7575 Annapolis Road, Hyattsville.
- Ardwick Liquors: 8307 Ardwick-Ardmore Road, Landover.
- Royal Farms: 11905 Markey Way, White Marsh.
With no ticket matching all six numbers in Saturday's Powerball drawing, Monday's jackpot has grown to $793 million, with a cash option estimated at $339.9 million.
Although nobody claimed the jackpot, several players still scored major prizes in the latest drawing:
- A North Carolina player won $2 million with a Match 5/Power Play ticket.
- A Georgia player secured a $1 million Match 5 prize.
- Another player in the United Kingdom also won $1 million with a Match 5 ticket.
The last Powerball jackpot winner came on August 12. Since then, Maryland players have collected nearly $5.4 million in Powerball prizes, including 15 wins worth at least $50,000.
Maryland also reported strong lottery activity between October 26 and November 1. During that week, 38 tickets across various games won prizes of $10,000 or more. Total lottery winnings statewide exceeded $31.7 million.
Powerball is available in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the United Kingdom.
