Maryland Lottery and Gaming Brings In $1.637 Billion in FY 2026

Maryland’s lottery, casinos, sports betting and other gaming operations generated a record $1.637 billion for the state in fiscal year 2026, with much of the money supporting state and local programs.

That total was $48 million higher than FY 2025, showing continued growth across Maryland’s gaming industry.

• Casino gaming contributed more than $820 million, making it one of the biggest sources of revenue.
• Sports betting saw a significant increase as the market continued to expand.
• The Maryland Lottery posted its third-best performance in its 53-year history.

Seth Elkin of the Maryland Lottery said the strong sports wagering results reflect a market that continues to grow. Overall, the latest figures highlight another strong year for Maryland’s gaming industry and its contribution to public programs.
