Connecticut lottery only publishes partial information about the winner

A Madison resident is $25,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket he purchased in Guilford, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Wednesday, Vincent R. claimed a winning Cashword 30 ticket he bought at Xpress Fuel on Boston Post Road. The Connecticut Lottery publishes partial winner information as a public record, according to officials.

The game, which costs $3 per ticket, began in November 2022, and as of Thursday, three grand prizes of $25,000 remained unclaimed.

More than 11.1 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.49.

If anybody has a winning ticket, the player must keep it safe and claim the winning prize by visiting the nearest lottery headquarters. The player can also have the facility of calling or sending mail to start the claiming process.
