Lotto winner loses her memory after mega $7.5 million windfall

A Virginia retiree, Eunice Sample, was left in disbelief after winning the top prize of $7.5 million (US $5 million) in a scratch-and-win game with odds of 1 in 2,529,600.

So shocked was she by her win that she couldn't remember what she did when she realized she'd won.

She expressed feeling a mix of emotions like excitement, happiness, shock, and being stunned.

Ms Sample had the choice to receive the prize money in instalments over 30 years or in full, but chose to take it all now. Two other lucky winners have yet to come forward to claim their top prizes.
