Lucky carolina guy wins a big jackpot and surprises his son

A South Carolina lottery winner surprised his son by paying off his mortgage.
“My son’s tickled to death,” the father said. The dad saved some of his $300,000 winnings to travel. And dad’s still playing the lottery. He’s won another $1,000.
But the $300,000 win off a $10 scratch-off from the 357 Redi Mart on Hwy. 357 in Lyman is one he’ll never forget.
“My heart like to have jumped out of my chest,” he said of the win. He beat the 1 in 900,000 odds to win the last top prize of $300,000 in the Red Cherry Tripler game.
357 Redi Mart in Lyman received a commission of $3,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
The winner has only 180 days from the day of the lottery draw to claim the winning prize money.
