Lotto winner loses her memory after mega $7.5 million windfall

Eunice Sample, a retired teacher from Chesapeake, Virginia, was left stunned after winning $7.5 million in the Virginia Lottery's $258 million jackpot last month.

Her shock at the win was so great that she couldn't remember what she did when she found out.

The scratch-and-win game features prizes ranging from $45 to $7.5 million, with the odds of winning the top prize at 1 in 2,529,600.

Ms Sample had the option to receive the prize money in instalments over 30 years, but she chose to take it all in one go. Two other top prize winners are yet to come forward and claim their winnings.

Despite her temporary memory loss, Ms Sample said she was "excited, happy, shocked, stunned, but I feel great!"
