Lottery ticket worth $250,000 won by a woman from Medicine Hat

Putting something extra on her lottery ticket last month netted Mary Melita Hynes an extra big windfall of cash.
The Medicine Hat resident is $250,000 richer after she added the Extra to her ticket for the Dec. 1 Daily Grand draw.
She matched all seven of the draw’s winning numbers – 2914386 – to get the prize.
“I saw the zeroes,” she recalled about checking her ticket on the Lotto spot app.
“I told my husband ‘You better come look at this!’” In disbelief, Hynes and her husband returned to the Southridge Husky Market at 102-1276 Strachan Rd. SE. where they purchased their ticket to double-check.
