At a Kentucky health care center, a heartwarming holiday surprise unfolded as Sheila Colter, the second shift supervisor at Med Center Health Environmental Services, faced a delay in receiving gifts for her team's holiday party.

Faced with the predicament of empty-handed celebrations, Colter ingeniously opted for a thoughtful alternative.

She purchased $30 scratch-off tickets from the Kentucky Lottery to share among her co-workers and also gifted 40 individual $1 tickets, ensuring everyone had a chance to partake in the holiday joy.

Colter expressed, "Our work Christmas party was early this year. I had ordered some items online, but they didn’t come in before the party, so I decided to get scratch-offs instead."

This kind gesture resulted in a collective win of $50,000 for the fortunate group.
