The Florida Lottery has announced that a woman in Jacksonville has won a $1 million prize after purchasing a $50 scratch-off ticket.
The winning ticket was purchased from AP Express, located at 3621 Park Street in Jacksonville's Avondale neighborhood
The lucky winner claimed her prize at the Lottery's Jacksonville District Office and chose to receive a lump-sum payment of $820,000.
The retailer will also receive a bonus commission of $2,000 for selling the winning ticket.
For the woman who purchased the ticket, a $50 purchase has turned into a life-changing sum of money.
