Illinois Woman Wins $1 Million Florida Lottery Prize Playing Scratch-Off Game

A 62-year-old woman from Elgin, Illinois, has won $1 million while playing the Florida Lottery's 300X The Cash scratch-off game during her visit to Florida.
Maree Beavers claimed her prize at the Florida Lottery's district office in Tampa, and opted to receive her winnings in annual installments over a 25-year period.
Beavers purchased the winning ticket from Publix at 5100 Clark Road in Sarasota, and as a result, the retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the ticket.
The Florida Lottery made the announcement of her win in a news release.
