In life, we often hear about people experiencing strokes of luck, but few stories are as heartwarming and inspiring as that of Lucia Forseth.

Six years ago, Forseth found herself homeless and struggling to make ends meet. Fast forward to the present day, and she's a millionaire thanks to a random lottery ticket purchase.

As Forseth walked into a Walmart Supercentre in Pittsburgh recently, she didn't plan on buying a lottery ticket. However, she made an impromptu decision and picked a random ticket, not giving it much thought. As she was fixing the oil in her car, she decided to scratch the ticket, assuming she'd won a free ticket or a small prize. 

But to her amazement, she discovered she'd won the grand prize of $5 million dollars.
