FedEx mistakenly delivers $20,000 worth of lottery tickets to Massachusetts woman's home

Massachusetts resident Danielle Alexandrov found herself in an unexpected situation when a FedEx package arrived at her office containing lottery tickets worth $20,000.

The tickets were originally intended for Kenyon's Market but were mistakenly delivered to Alexandrov's workplace. Despite the tempting value of the surprise gift, Alexandrov decided to do the right thing and return the tickets to their rightful destination.

In an interview with local TV station WCVB, Alexandrov shared her initial disbelief upon discovering the unusual package. "I start going through the boxes, everything is normal until I get a box that is very heavy," she said. "I open it up, and it's a box of scratch tickets. And I'm thinking, 'Is this a joke?' until I look at the receipt and its value is $20,000 worth of scratch tickets."

While the tickets may seem valuable, they hold no worth until activated by authorized lottery retailers. Christian Teja from the Massachusetts Lottery emphasized that these tickets are worthless until validated, preventing any attempt to cash them without proper authorization.
