A quick stop for gas turned into the moment of a lifetime for a Midlands woman who scratched her way to a massive $2 million prize.
She was at the Rainbow Mart in Chapin when a simple thought crossed her mind:
• “If you don’t play, you don’t win.”
So she grabbed a $20 Double Up! ticket—just on a whim.
Her reaction when she saw the result?
“Wow!”
That one word says it all.
Against staggering 1-in-1,080,000 odds, she hit the top prize and is now celebrating something many dream of—being completely debt-free.
There’s still one more top prize left in the Double Up! game, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery. And as a bonus, the store that sold her the winning ticket, Trijal LLC, also scored a sweet victory with a $20,000 commission.
