Florida woman wins $2 million Powerball prize

The Florida Lottery announced that Michele Story, a 61-year-old resident of Orange Beach, recently claimed a $2 million prize from the Powerball drawing held on Oct. 31, 2022.

Although Story's ticket did not match the Powerball number, it did match all five of the white ball numbers, earning her the substantial prize.

The winning ticket was purchased at Flora Bama Liquor in Pensacola, which will receive a $5,000 bonus commission for selling the ticket.

The next Powerball drawing will take place on March 18, with an estimated $78 million jackpot up for grabs.

Powerball is a popular American lottery game that is played in 45 states, as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.
