Florida Man Scores Huge Prize From Mega Millions Ticket

The Florida Lottery announced that Jeffrey Sanchez, a 52-year-old resident of Brandon, won a $2 million prize from a Mega Millions ticket he bought at a 7-Eleven.

Sanchez's winning ticket matched all five white ball numbers, but not the Mega Ball number.

As it was a Megaplier ticket, it doubled his earnings. The store that sold the winning ticket will receive a $5,000 bonus commission.

The Florida Lottery reminds players to check their tickets, as there is a ticket expiring in a week worth thousands of dollars.

Mega Millions is an American multijurisdictional lottery game, it is offered in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Mega Millions is drawn at 11 pm Eastern Time on Tuesday and Friday evenings, including holidays.
