Five lucky residents of New York City, including one from Staten Island, have each won a $1 million prize in various lottery games.
Glenn Walther Jr. from Staten Island won the Golden Fortune scratch-off game, while Oscar Guevara from Manhattan won the Mega Millions. Gorellashem LLC, also from Manhattan, won the second prize in the CASH4LIFE drawing.
Richard Catapano from Queens won the New York Lottery's $1 million scratch-off game, and Michelle Davis from the Bronx also won the Mega Millions.
All winners received their prizes as single lump sum payments after required withholdings. The New York Lottery continues to contribute to public K-12 education in the state, with $3.6 billion donated in the 2021-2022 fiscal year.
