Lucky Day in Massachusetts: Last $1M Prize and More Big Wins

Massachusetts had a busy day of winners on Monday, with prizes ranging from hundreds to millions.

  • The big headline: The very last $1 million grand prize from the $5 Diamonds and Dollars scratch-off was finally claimed. That game launched in 2023 with four $1 million jackpots—now all of them are gone. The lucky ticket was sold at Blanchard’s Revere in Revere.

  • But the action didn’t stop there. Another player scored $200,000 with a $200,000 Halloween ticket bought at NK Convenience in Medford.

  • Monday also saw six different $100,000 winners:

    • One came from the Mass Cash midday drawing with winning numbers 5, 6, 13, 26, 28. That ticket was sold at Vermette’s Inc. in Amesbury.

    • Two jackpots were hit on $15,000,000 Colossal Millions tickets—sold at Rag’s Tavern in Quincy and Seasons in Fall River.

    • The last three came from different scratchers: 300X at a Speedway in North Quincy, $100,000 Max Winnings at Essex Shell in Swampscott, and Diamond Deluxe at Joe’s Market in Revere.

  • In total, 647 prizes of $600 or more were claimed across the state that day, with winners spread out—57 in Boston, 20 in Worcester, and 18 in Springfield.

For context, the biggest lottery prize in Massachusetts this year was a Lifetime Millions ticket worth $1 million a year for life, sold in Springfield and claimed back in July.
