As a retired casino dealer, she expressed her delight, stating, "This isn't my first win, but it's my biggest by far." Her plans include treating herself to a larger television set and sharing some of the money with family and friends. The joyous news initially met with disbelief from her loved ones, but eventually, they shared in her happiness.

In another stroke of luck, David Leger of Whitby won a noteworthy $66,982 on the May 8 Poker Lotto draw. As he recalls, there were only a few witnesses present at the time of the win, leaving the cashier surprised by the turn of events. He anticipated their initial skepticism but looked forward to the pleasant surprise. Although still sinking in, he expressed the thrill of being a winner and the anticipation of the joy it would bring to his loved ones. David purchased the lucky ticket at a Petro Canada on Baldwin Street in Whitby.
