Dream come true for Mississauga woman after $800K win

That’s because the Mississauga resident found a Lottario ticket worth nearly $800,000 in the Dec. 17 draw.

“I was cleaning my purse and I realized I had a ticket to check,” she told OLG.

“I used the OLG App and I couldn’t believe what I saw – I was stunned. I told my spouse, and he didn’t believe me. We were both in shock!” Ziemniak, whose actual win was $798,646.80, said she’d been playing the lottery for two years but this was her first big win.

“It’s so surreal. It feels like a dream,” she said.

She said she plans to her spouse to Costa Rica and go surfing as a 40th birthday present.

Her winning ticket was purchased at Loblaws on Eglinton Avenue in Mississauga.
