Des Plaines Woman Wins $2 Million on $20 Illinois Lottery Ticket
A Des Plaines woman is celebrating a $2 million lottery win after spending just $20 on an instant ticket.
The lucky ticket was purchased at ZJ’s Pantry Plus Liquors, 699 N. Wolf Road in Des Plaines. She won the top prize on the Illinois Lottery’s $2,000,000 Maximum Multiplier Instant Ticket.
The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said she was stunned by the unexpected payday.
“I couldn’t believe I won, especially from a store I frequent.”
She has won $10,000 before, but this marks her first-ever lottery top prize.
