Del Valle resident claims $1 million winning lottery ticket sold in Austin

A lucky Del Valle resident won a whopping sum of $1 million playing Powerball lottery game in January. 13 drawing.

The winning ticket was sold at Muchos 3, a gas station at 3201 N. Lamar Blvd. in Austin. The store will receive a bonus of $10,000 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket. 

The winning numbers were: 4, 14, 33, 39 and 61. The winning ticket matched all five white balls numbers drawn, but missed the Powerball number.

Powerball is an American lottery game offered by 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. 

Powerball's annuity is paid in 30 graduated installments over 29 years, or winners may choose a lump sum payment instead (cash option). One lump sum payment will be less than the total of the 30 annual payments because with the annuity option each yearly payment is increased by 5%.
