A Powerball ticket worth $100,000, which was sold at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Aurora, Illinois, last year, is set to expire on November 7 if the lucky player doesn't come forward to claim their prize.
Despite being one year since the ticket was purchased on November 8, 2022, no one has stepped up to collect the winnings.
In accordance with state lottery regulations, winners have one year to claim their prizes before the ticket becomes void. If unclaimed, this particular winning ticket will lose its value on November 8, 2023.
The ticket in question bears the numbers 2-11-22-35-60 with a Powerball of 23. To check if they hold a winning ticket, lottery players can use the Illinois Lottery app ticket scanner.
Should the lottery winner fail to come forward by the expiration date, the unclaimed prize money will be directed to the Illinois Common School Fund, as reported by iHeartRadio.
