CT lottery player is in Cloud nine after winning big lottery prize

The winning ticket was sold in South Meriden

A Meriden resident recently won $30,000 on a scratch ticket that was sold in the city, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The resident won $30,000 on a 30X Cash 10th Edition scratch ticket that was sold at Ab Convenience Store at 269 Main St. in South Meriden.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners’ full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.

The winning lottery ticket still remains unclaimed as the ticket was unregistered so the lottery officials urge all the lottery ticket holders to check their tickets and sign on the back of them.

If anybody has a winning ticket, the player must keep it safe and claim the winning prize by visiting the nearest lottery headquarters.

The player can also have the facility of calling or sending mail to start the claiming process.
